  • Can I use 鈥疧kta FastPass鈥痶o sign in to my computer?

    No.

  • Can I use 鈥疧kta FastPass鈥痺ithout Okta Verify?

    No.

  • Do users require the latest version of鈥疧kta Verify鈥痶o use鈥疧kta FastPass?

    Yes. Users must install the latest version of鈥疧kta Verify鈥痑nd set up an account to enroll the device in鈥疧kta.听

  • Can facial recognition or fingerprint be used with 鈥疧kta FastPass?

    Yes. With鈥疧kta FastPass, users can use:听

    • Silent authentication (authenticate without user verification), to satisfy 1FA, or听
    • Silent authentication and user verification, to satisfy 2FA.听

    Okta鈥痷ses the term鈥�user verification鈥痶o reference biometrics. User verification includes facial recognition and fingerprint.听

  • If a user has biometrics set up with鈥� Okta FastPass, can they also enroll using a passcode?

    Pin fallback is supported for鈥疧kta FastPass, but not for push notifications.听

  • Is鈥� Okta FastPass supported on Linux Desktops or Chromebooks?

    For desktop platforms,鈥疧kta FastPass鈥痠s only supported on Windows and macOS. For mobile,鈥疧kta FastPass鈥痠s available on iOS, and Android.

  • Are unmanaged devices supported with Okta FastPass, or is device management required?

    Okta FastPass鈥�doesn't require devices to be managed. All functionality works on devices that are managed and unmanaged. Users with unmanaged devices must install the latest version of鈥疧kta Verify鈥痑nd enroll (add an account to鈥疧kta Verify) before they can use鈥疧kta FastPass.听听

  • Is it correct that 鈥疧kta FastPass鈥� can't lock users out of their computers?

    Okta FastPass鈥�doesn't protect access to the device or operating system.

  • Does鈥疧kta FastPass鈥痵upport YubiKey?

    狈辞.鈥疧办迟补 FastPass鈥痠s an authentication method, similar to YubiKey. YubiKey provides extra compliance benefits at the cost of user experience.听听

  • Is鈥疧kta FastPass鈥疐IDO-compatible? Is it a factor?

    Okta FastPass鈥�isn't compatible with Fast Identity Online (FIDO).鈥疧kta FastPass鈥痠s one authentication factor available with the鈥疧kta Verify鈥痑uthenticator app.鈥�

    Okta FastPass鈥痺ithout user verification (biometrics) satisfies 1FA, and鈥疧kta FastPass鈥痺ith user verification satisfies 2FA. Okta supports FIDO WebAuthn outside of鈥疧kta Verify.听
