VINSE Announces 2026–2027 Colloquium Series

headshots of VINSE Colloquium speakers: Brad Berron, University of Kentucky, Eva Harth, University of Houston, Judson Ryckman, Clemson University, Timothy Fisher, University of California, Los Angeles, Thomas Werfel, University of Mississippi, Rachel Carter, University of Kansas

The 2026-27 VINSE Colloquium Series welcomes back six former VINSE faculty members and alumni to share their research, experiences, and perspectives on advances in nanoscale science and engineering. Throughout the year, speakers will explore research spanning academia and industry and highlight the breadth of work connected to the VINSE community.

This year’s speakers reflect the interdisciplinary nature of nanoscience, with topics ranging from chemical engineering, photonics, and nanoscale transport to energy, biomedical, and bioelectronic technologies. Together, their talks demonstrate how research at the nanoscale continues to advance science and engineering across disciplines.

As VINSE celebrates 25 years, the colloquium series also reflects the community that has grown around the institute. By bringing former VINSE faculty and alumni back to ÌÀÍ·Ìõ to engage with today’s faculty, students, and researchers, the series creates opportunities to exchange ideas, strengthen connections, and inspire the next generation of nanoscale research.
