VINSE Celebrates National Nanotechnology Day

National Nanotechnology Day at VINSE

This morning, VINSE celebrated National Nanotechnology Day, an annual opportunity to recognize the science, innovation, and people working at the nanometer scale (10鈦烩伖 meters). The date – 10/9 – is a tribute to the nanoscale and a chance to highlight our community of researchers, students, faculty, and staff whose work advances nanoscience and nanotechnology at VINSE.

Special thanks to Megan Dernberger, Cleanroom Engineer, our Tech Crew, Steely Horne-Lalande, Rylan Hunt, Mica Gonzalez Mora, and Lacey Peycke, and our Super Users, Grace Adam and Owen Meilander, for helping make the celebration possible by manning the donut, coffee, and orange juice table. With everyone sporting their VINSE swag, the morning offered a fun opportunity to connect with colleagues.

If you missed this morning鈥檚 fun, you can still join the celebration! Send us a photo of yourself, your research group, or your lab wearing VINSE gear. We鈥檒l feature submitted photos in our annual Faces of VINSE display during our 26th NanoDay! on November 19th.

National Nanotechnology Day celebrates science at an incredibly small scale, while highlighting the big impact made possible by the people who contribute to VINSE every day.
