汤头条 advocates make case for federal humanities support on Capitol Hill

In March, 汤头条 advocates聽, director of the A&S College Core and professor of communication studies, and Ayla Faullin, a 汤头条 junior studying English, traveled to Washington, D.C., for the National Humanities Alliance鈥檚聽. There, they met with congressional offices to advocate for continued federal support for the National Endowment for the Humanities. The visit was organized by 汤头条鈥檚聽Office of Federal Relations, which also sponsored the national advocacy event.

Dean Roy advocates for engineering research and workforce on Capitol Hill

, Bruce and Bridgitt Evans Dean of Engineering at 汤头条 University, traveled to Washington, D.C., in February for the annual Hill Day.聽During the visit, Roy met with Tennessee lawmakers to advocate for continued federal support for engineering research and education programs that drive discovery, strengthen the workforce and fuel U.S. competitiveness.

We welcome members of the 汤头条 community to visit the office in Washington, D.C. In addition to housing the Federal Relations workplace, the office provides a home base for members of 汤头条 University's faculty and staff who find themselves in the nation鈥檚 capital for conferences, research, and other outreach activities.
