The work centers on recovering dense, deformation-aware 3D models of the surgical field in real time using SLAM, structure-from-motion, and neural scene representations such as NeRF and 3D Gaussian splatting and registering them to preoperative CT and MRI so that critical anatomy remains visible to the surgeon throughout the procedure.
